Dear devotees,
Here are a number of versions of Srila Prabhupada chanting one round of japa.
Each version is slightly faster from the original recording accelerating from 11.5 minutes, to 10, 9, 8, 7, and 6 minute rounds.
I found using these helpful to keep my mind on track while chanting and to exercise my attention to keep up with Srila Prabhupada, especially when I’m feeling distracted or drowsy. Very helpful for late-night chanters (rare as they may be, hehe)
Choose a speed you feel comfortable with and gradually work your way up if you like. I recommend turning your players repeat function to cycle the one track you choose.
I hope this comes in handy for you!
I had asked Mukunda Maharaja if this was a bona-fide practice to which he gave approval, so no worries for orthodoxy concerns.
your servant,
Rasikananda dasa

The Simple Temple - Chowpatty paints an intimate portrait of daily life in a community founded on the sacred principles of love and devotional service taught by Srila Prabhupada. This hour-long documentary masterfully crafts rich color and exotic imagery into a story of two seekers who find their common truth within this timeless spiritual culture.
Disenchanted with the materialistic West, a young American filmmaker, Arjuna Parker, ventures to India searching for the deeper truth about himself, the universe and God. He enters the Radha Gopinatha temple to witness the ancient practices and to document his time with the devotees in this vibrant spiritual community. Arjuna is befriended by Radhanath Swami, one of the temple’s founders, who had come to India a generation earlier on a similar spiritual quest. In the modern metropolis of Mumbay, Radhanath Swami met his guru the great Vaisnava saint A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.
